Enloe Band News

Now, more than ever, students need to belong to a group! The Marching Band is a
great place for teens to socialize and work alongside other great kids. Over the past few seasons, we have made
changes to the way we operate, many of which were student initiated, and we continue to offer meaningful
leadership opportunities to our students. And rest assured that we are compliant with all WCPSS protocols including
heat and COVID, and that it is safe to return to rehearsals.
This season’s show, WOLFGang, will require a great deal of commitment from students. We must commit to our
rehearsal and performance schedule! We will also need help from parents: feeding kids, uniform fitting, prop
design, pit crew, etc. There’s much to do and WE NEED YOU!

8/2-7 Monday-Friday 8:30AM-8:30PM (drop off 8:30, pick up 8:30), Saturday 8:30-12:30
8/9-16 Monday-Friday 8:30AM-8:30PM + Monday 8/16, 8:30AM-8:30AM
8/17-20 Night Camp, Tuesday-Thursday 4:00PM-8:30PM (Friday is our 1 st game, 4-9)

Winds Tuesday & Thursday 2:45-6:00
Guard Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 2:45-6:00
Percussion Monday & Thursday 2:45-6:00 (add Tuesdays in October)

FOR OUR SCHOOL: HOME FOOTBALL GAMES: 8/20, 9/3, 10/1, 10/15, 10/22 (5-9PM)
The Marching Band cadences into the stadium about 6:20PM for our pre-game show, which includes the Star-
Spangled Banner and our Fight Song. We then load the bleachers, where we cheer and play and have a great time
during the 1 st , 2 nd & 4 th quarters of the game. We perform our show for halftime then break 3 rd quarter.

This is the highlight of our show season! Each of these Saturdays begins with morning rehearsal followed by lunch;
then we’re off to the show! We usually return late Saturday night. An itinerary for each Saturday is provided
several days in advance. Please mark your calendars for the following shows.
9/25 @ Eagle Classic 10/2 @ Middle Creek 10/9 @ West Johnston
10/16 @ Fuquay 10/23 @ Sanderson 10/30 @ Cary Band Day

More people see and hear our band in parades than at any other time in the year. Our first parade is the Veterans
Day parade, which is close to our hearts! Next is the Raleigh Christmas Parade, which provides an opportunity to
play for a HUGE audience. Lastly, the Apex Christmas parade is a night-time event where the crowd is very
enthusiastic. It’s a great time and a wonderful way to end the season.

11/6 Raleigh Veterans’ Day Parade (7:00-11:30AM) Rehearsals on 4 & 5 (2:45-4:30)
11/20 Raleigh Christmas Parade (7:30-12:00PM) Rehearsals on 12, 17 & 19 (2:45-4:30)
12/4 Banquet & Apex Parade (11:00AM banquet, report for parade afterward, back at Enloe 7PM)

We encourage you to follow our calendar at

Our Mission:

The Enloe Band Program prides itself on maintaining balance and excellence in its musical offerings.

To that end students have opportunities to participate in Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Combos.

Additionally, students have opportunities to learn about arranging, music technology, and conducting.
